Suva, Fiji

Jan 18 – today we hired  a driver and went to the Pearl South Pacific Resort. On the way, we stopped for some fresh coconut water. The lady and her son could not have been any nicer. A coconut full of water was $1.

The Pearl South Pacific Resort was very tired and after a drink and lunch, we headed back to the ship. By the time we got back, it was pouring down rain.

Overall, we found Fiji to be very underwhelming. Both Lautoka and Suva seemed to have a lot of poverty.  That could just be because we didn’t get to travel to some of the other more distant parts of the island. Tomorrow is another sea day before we get to to Apia, Samoa.
