10/3/2018 – Camp Verde
Today Nancy and I worked together on a Alice “home improvement”project. We installed a couple cross poles on the basement walls (main storage compartment) so we could make more efficient use of the top 1/4 of the storage space. We are now able to suspend the step ladder, paddle board paddles and fishing pools in the top part of the basement. Later in the afternoon, while I finished re-organizing the storage areas, Nancy went to Sedona to look around a little more and pick up a carryout to use up the rest of a restaurant credit we received from Hyatt. For dinner, Nancy got a Mexican combo meal, and I got baby back ribs. The food was great.
Later we kicked back outside before heading in for the night. Frisco is doing much better today after her out-patient surgery yesterday to remove a thorn from her foot. She’s eating well, and is walking fine without any limp. She will be on a antibiotic for about 10 days.
Tomorrow we head out for Albuquerque, NM,, to attend the 2018 Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta (not festival). It will be the longest drive we have had for a while…..about 6 hours. Glad we made our reservations in January at the closest resort to the Fiesta. Apparently, it’s almost impossible to find RV space at this point. Based on everything we have learned, the Balloon Fiesta should be one heckuva a great time!
