Today, we drove to Scottsdale to visit the Apple store, stop in Trader Joe’s, and look at some recliners to replace the theater seating in Alice. The foam backing in the chairs is collapsing, which is making the chairs very uncomfortable. I really can’t sit in them for more than an hour without getting a backache. Using the laptop in the chair is especially uncomfortable. So we agreed to replace the theatre seating with some type of dual recliners that will allow both us to be much more comfortable. We found a brand that is fairly compact, but still very comfortable. For my back’s sake, I hope we can work it to install them in Alice in the next couple days.
We’re not surprised to find that we need to swap the chairs. …..although the chairs look very nice, we know that the RV industry has a pretty bad reputation for the quality of furniture they install in RV’s. My view is that there are two pieces of furniture you need to make sure are very comfortable……..your primary living room chair and your bed. Thankfully, we added a memory foam topper to our stock bed which made it very comfortable……and we both sleep great on it. The new recliners we are looking at are very comfortable and won’t take up any more space.
We were delayed by a car fire on I-17 on the way home and also hit the beginning of the rain from Hurricane Rosa. It came down very heavy for 15 minutes or so before it tapered off. We are expecting quite a lot more over the 24-36 hours.
