9/29/2018 – Camp Verde, AZ

Nancy took Frisco on a nice hike on Old cave Crater Trail while I got Alice ready to go. It was only about 1 1/4 hours to drive to our next stop….Camp Verde, AZ. We are staying at the Distant Drums RV Resort, which is a very nice resort with lots of first class amenities (pool, hot tub, gym, library, etc). We’re glad everything is paved since we are likely to get some heavy rain on Monday and Tuesday as a result of Hurricane Rosa. They are saying we could see some flash flooding. But we’re in a good spot and will not be affected.

We got  settled  in, and then Nancy went on a short drive to explore Camp Verde (not much happening here!) while I watched the Georgia/Tennessee game. Then we both settled in watched the game of the day…..Ohio State (go Bucks) vs. Penn State. What a great game! Penn State and their fans were pretty pumped up and the Bucks seemed to struggle throughout the game……but in the end, they did what was needed to win the game by 1 point.
