Biking, blogging and waiting for repair….

8/16/2018 – Eagle Nest RV Resort – Polson, MT

Today, I worked on the blog for a couple hours correcting some issues with pictures. Then I started working on a tire problem. When we pulled into the Eagle Nest RV Resort, several people including Nancy heard a grinding sound coming from one of our right side RV wheels (that on top of all the other issues I wrote about in yesterdays post!). Since it involved one of the wheels, we needed to find someone that could come to the RV park to fix whatever was wrong. That’s not an easy task when you are in a remote place like Polson, MT. I finally found a number for Andy’s Mobil Tire Service. I contacted him and he said he could come by late today. He got here at about 5:15. He jacked up both sides and had me hook up and apply brakes after he gave each wheel a few spins. A couple wheels had a slight grind sound but both cleared up after a couple spins and applying the brakes. He said I probably got a small pebble or some grit from a road construction area into the brakes. All of it cleared when he gave the wheels a couple spins. He inspected all the wheels and told me their were no problems.

I was going to play golf in the afternoon but I had to cancel to handle the tire problem. Nancy really likes to check out each new community we visit by riding her bike around. Within a day, she usually knows where things are around town.  So she took a 2 hour bike ride this afternoon while I waited for the tire guy.

It was a pretty slow day…..which is fine with me……after all, we are retired now!  What we don’t do today, we can always do tomorrow.
