Left this morning around 9:30am and arrived in Canmore around 2:30. Nancy rode into town on her bike and scoped things out while I drove into Calgary to get my new wheel installed. Bow Cycles took care of it right away and all is good. We’re looking forward to biking to Banff tomorrow to check things out and plan some excursions. This is another great area for biking, hiking, fishing, and golf…….and of course, the scenery continues to be absolutely spectacular. This will be our base for exploring the Banff and lake Louise areas for the 10 days.
Only bad news is when we arrived, we discovered that our pull through site was right next to a major condominium construction project. …..but they are going to move us to a wooded creekside site on Friday which will be much nicer. Another opportunity to show your adaptability and patience, right?
According to the front desk checkin folks, they didn’t even know about the project until April, which was well after we made our reservations. It seems that the owner of the RV park also sold this land for the project but it will be the very last part of the project. The rustic looking condo’s are very nice but it’s a shame to see the only RV park with full hookups in Canmore shut down.
